Silesia Ring in Kamień Śląski is running a 24-hour car race for the second time. The 24H Silesia Ring starts on Tuesday 10 November 2026 at 16:00 and ends on Polish Independence Day, 11 November, at 16:00; the organiser is the circuit's operating company. The operator calls the event the Independence Race, and the first edition took place a year ago.
What the circuit announced
The race runs for the full 24 hours in a single configuration, the "Pętla Wschodnia+" (East Loop+) using the second exit off the long straight, 3,140 m long. The main list has room for 25 teams and the reserve list for 10. Single-car teams are split into three classes by engine capacity (up to 2,000, up to 3,000 and over 3,000 cm³, with a multiplier for forced induction, diesel and Wankel engines), while relay teams may use 2 to 6 cars. Entry costs PLN 10,000 net plus 23 % VAT per team and covers practice and the race on 10 and 11 November plus a place in the garage. A year ago the regulations required PLN 19,000 net from a single-car team and PLN 20,000 net from a relay team.
What it means for the amateur driver
Any adult with a category B driving licence may race; no racing licence is needed and holding one does not affect the classification. Drivers wear a car helmet plus an FIA-homologated suit, gloves and shoes, and the homologation may have expired. The car must have a closed body, a petrol or diesel engine and a fire extinguisher of at least 1 kg, and must not exceed 100 dB; road homologation, third-party insurance and a roadworthiness test are not required. A team has 3 to 10 drivers, each must complete 10 laps of the circuit before the start, and a single stint lasts at most 180 minutes. Those laps can be done in practice on 10 November or on an extra day on 9 November, which costs PLN 2,000 net per team.
Those who are not racing can come and watch: in the circuit's calendar, 9 to 11 November belong to the race and its practice sessions, marked as open to the public. The calendar lists no other drives on those days; the last event in the calendar before the race is a Time Attack on 7 November.
What we do not know
The circuit gives no price or terms for spectator admission and does not publish the list of entered teams. We are watching whether it publishes them before 9 November.
