The site has no accounts, forms or comments. Reading it, you give us no data, and we collect visit statistics only with your consent.

1. Data controller
The controller of personal data on padok.app is Piotr Dąmbrowski. For anything concerning your data, write to [email protected].
2. Visit statistics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics to learn which stories are read and to develop the site on that basis. Google's code loads only after you click "Accept" in the banner at the bottom of the page. Without consent, your browser does not connect to Google and stores no statistics cookies.
After consent, Google Analytics stores _ga cookies and collects data about the visit: which pages you view, where you came to the site from, the type of device and browser, and an approximate location derived from your IP address.
- Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- Retention period: 14 months.
- Recipient: Google Ireland Limited. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States on the basis of the European Commission's adequacy decision (EU-US Data Privacy Framework).
- We do not use this data for advertising. Advertising consents are switched off permanently, and Google signals and ad personalisation are not enabled.
You can withdraw consent at any time with the "Cookie settings" button in the page footer. Withdrawal removes the _ga cookies and does not affect the lawfulness of what happened before.
3. Server
The site is delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. On every visit the server processes your IP address and the technical data of the request in order to display the page and protect it from abuse. The basis is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Data may be transferred to the United States on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
4. What stays in your browser
Your choice in the consent banner and the language you picked for the site are remembered by your browser (local storage, localStorage). This information does not reach us.
5. Videos and maps
YouTube videos on story pages load only after you click them, from the youtube-nocookie.com domain. From that moment Google's privacy policy applies. Venue maps are images sent from our server; links to interactive maps (OpenStreetMap, Google Maps) lead to external services with their own privacy rules.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it rectified or erased, to restrict its processing and to data portability, as well as the right to object. You can also lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa, Poland). The site has no accounts and does not link statistics to specific people, so it is usually impossible to tell which data concerns you in particular; write to us and we will help.
