When on 21 November 2013 the moto.wp.pl portal announced that Poland's second racetrack had opened near Radom, it also recalled that the only fully functional racing facility so far had been Tor Poznań, built 36 years earlier. The investor at Jastrząb was not an automobile club. The track had been built since October 2010, for about 30 million zloty, by the Radom company ITS A. Michalczewski, known in the city above all for its municipal buses. Out of that combination grew Autodrom Jastrząb: a driving technique improvement centre, an arena of European drifting and a place where an amateur can today buy a track day with timing.

The buses that built a track
The ITS Adam Michalczewski company began serving regular municipal bus lines in Radom in 1994; the firm presents itself as a pioneer of private passenger transport in Polish municipal services and to this day carries the people of Radom on lines 2, 5, 6, 22, 25 and 26, some of them powered by natural gas. Sixteen years after the first run, in October 2010, the same company started building an autodrome at Jastrząb, which was to be used "both for training and for research purposes".
The investment was then called Centrum Bezpieczeństwa i Techniki Jazdy. It was to meet the conditions set by the minister of infrastructure for driving technique improvement centres and to include "an asphalt and gravel training track, a water ditch for motorcyclists or a manoeuvring yard for motorcycles and cars". When on 3 September 2013 Daria Kurys of Radom24.pl described the construction site, the third stage of the works was under way: the road section, the training track and the access roads were ready, the hotel facilities, the restaurant and the car parks were being finished. The cost was estimated at about 30 million zloty, partly from EU funds, and the opening was announced for 2013.
"Poland's second racetrack"
They made it. At the end of November 2013 moto.wp.pl wrote that Autodrom Jastrząb "has only just been opened and its construction is still being completed". The article set Polish reality against Western Europe, where a driver usually has several tracks within reach, and described what awaited near Radom: a track with many configurations, "including a loop adapted for kart racing", a skid mat, "timing of the run of every car on the track" and the hotel, restaurant and a place where parents can leave their children, all being built next to it. There was also, as it was written, "a chance that a round of the Polish Racing Championship will be held near Radom".
At the beginning of December 2013 the facility was viewed by Anita Walkowska of the Rally and Race portal. She saw, in the village of Jastrząb, less than half an hour's drive from Radom, a track that "had been going up near Radom for three years", practically finished asphalt, a car park for 300 cars and varied terrain with a hill, "which, as the more difficult part of the route, is rather suited to advanced competitors". A hotel with catering facilities and a viewing terrace for event stewards, lighting and workshops were planned. The access was poorly signposted and without an exit from the S7, one had to "make do with what there is, that is the E77 road to Szydłowiec and then the 727 to the destination".
The track had already been seen by Bartosz Kasprzyk, organiser of the Drift Open series, who booked the third round of his championship for 21 and 22 June the following year. "It is a hugely varied track with great possibilities", he judged, praised the grandstands being prepared for the fans and added: "The only downside is the paddock, whose area is too small for our needs, and we will have to organise it in two places".
Sideways through Czerwienica
Drift Open arrived as planned: the 2014 events calendar published by AutoCentrum.pl notes for 21 and 22 June the entry "Drift-Open, Autodrom Jastrząb". Three weeks later, on 12 and 13 July 2014, the track hosted the fourth round of the Monster Energy King of Europe Drift ProSeries, the European drifting series. The blog of the German suspension maker KW wrote about the "recently opened Jastrzab racetrack, a little over 100 kilometres south of Warsaw" and about more than 7000 spectators. Bartosz Stolarski won ahead of Marcin Mospinek, Marcin Carzasty and Piotr Kozłowski; in the final Mospinek spun the car just before the finish line and was disqualified. Vladimir Marchenko, fastest in qualifying, went out in the TOP 8 round and finished fifth.
A year later it was at Jastrząb that the 2015 Drift Masters Grand Prix season started; all six rounds of the series were held in Poland that year, the following ones in Poznań, Płock, Wałbrzych and Toruń. Over the May holiday weekend, from 1 to 3 May, 36 drivers from Poland and Europe came to the track; the youngest was 15, the oldest over 40. The first round, on 2 May, was won by Piotr Więcek in a Nissan Skyline R34 with a turbocharged 800 horsepower six cylinder engine, ahead of Marcin Mospinek in a 500 horsepower BMW E30 and Dawid Karkosik in a Nissan S15. A day later the second round was taken by Bartosz Stolarski in a Nissan 200SX with a 900 horsepower Corvette V8, again ahead of Mospinek and Karkosik; after two rounds Mospinek led with 191 points ahead of the defending champion Więcek with 182. "The track near Radom drew many keen drifting fans from all over Poland over the May weekend", Rafał Mądry summed up in "Super Express".
Since 2020 the operator has run its own competition, the Autodrom Jastrząb Drift Cup. In the Profi class of the first edition 39 drivers were classified, and the winner was Kajetan Rutyna in a Mercedes 190.
Last year's one day edition showed us that both the competitors and the fans want more!
That is what Aleksandra Michalczewska, president of the management board of ITS Michalczewski, said before the second edition, announcing a two day competition on 28 and 29 August 2021 in the Street class for beginners and Profi for the experienced. It was won by Piotr Kozłowski ahead of Łukasz Laskowski and Sebastian Matuszewski, with hundreds of fans in the grandstands. The third edition in 2022 was advertised with a record prize pool of 25,000 zloty, and the fourth was held on 12 and 13 August 2023 in the Pro and Street classes, with drift taxi rides for the fans, a classic car exhibition and tyre service on site.
A school on a dozen or so corners
The second pillar of Jastrząb from its first season were motorcycles. On 9 and 10 August 2014 the second Polish edition of the California Superbike School that year took place here, after the spring one at Tor Poznań. Dawid Stolicki of Ścigacz.pl admitted: "Freshly put into use, a facility not yet fully known to us, it was quite a puzzle". The puzzle was solved in the school's favour. "The layout, dotted with a dozen or so corners, made it possible to work constantly on improving one's own skills", Stolicki wrote, and thanks to lower speeds than on a fast racetrack the participants could focus on the exercises set by the coaches. More than 100 people came, most of them for both days, on sport bikes, nakeds, big touring enduros, cruisers and cafe racers.
In the following seasons brand schools and track days returned: Ducati Riding Experience, Suzuki Moto Szkoła, Liberty Motors Track Day, Pirelli Track Day, Aprilia rallies. During the third edition of Pirelli Track Day in 2023 the special guest Daniel Blin "also set a track record", although the report gives neither the time nor the motorcycle. In 2025 the second season of the Motorcycle Academy of Autodrom Jastrząb and Honda began, with general development training, adventure training and Track Day Moto; participants of the first season rated it 9.3 on average on a scale from 1 to 10. On 22 August 2025, as part of the "Szybko tam, gdzie wolno" campaign, the training here was run by Piotr Biesiekirski, a Pole from the World Supersport world championship, Kamil Krzemień, a competitor in the FIM Endurance world championship, and Andrzej "Simpson" Drzymulski.
Three layouts, one hill
The operator writes of 3500 metres of asphalt and gravel surface and of a layout that at its narrowest point is only 10 metres wide. In the offer for the 2026 season the operator catalogues three layouts: no. 1 with a length of 1767 m, on which the maximum speed reaches 160 km/h, no. 2 with a length of 1508 m and no. 3 with a length of 1564 m; the reference times set in a BMW M2 F87 are 75.92 s, 58.82 s and 63.58 s respectively. The hill that Walkowska wrote about in 2013 is called BIG HILL in the descriptions of clubs and blogs and has a gradient of 10 per cent; the operator uses the same slope beneath the skid pad on the hill.
The fast track is only one of seven sections thanks to which the facility holds the status of a higher grade Driving Technique Improvement Centre. The others are a tight corner section (six corners on 10 metre asphalt), gravel stretches up to 154 m long, a 100 by 20 metre approach pad with water curtains imitating a sudden obstacle, a pad on the hill, a small rectangular pad and a skid circle; on the grounds there is a charger for electric cars with a power of up to 180 kW. The grandstands hold 900 people, the car park about 120 cars. The building has five service bays for ten cars, six lecture rooms for 360 listeners, a conference room for 120 people, a restaurant room with a viewing terrace for 400 guests and 60 hotel rooms.
At the end of 2020 the track made it into the Assetto Corsa simulator as a mod "faithfully recreated using laser scanning technology": layout no. 1 was made available to testers free of charge until the end of the year, layout no. 2 and the drift track were priced at 19.99 zloty each. In August 2021 the operator released a collection of 50 Founding Members NFT tokens and the #TeamJastrzab club with one free track day a year and a 30 per cent discount on services; Michalczewska called the project probably the first such initiative not only in Poland but also in Europe.
A track day near Szydłowiec
Track Day Auto is, according to the operator's regulations, "free driving with timing" from 8:30 to 16:00 for at most 45 participants, divided at registration into three groups of 15 according to skill. The briefing on the first floor at 9:30 is compulsory, everyone gets a timing transponder, driver and passenger ride with fastened belts and in motorsport helmets, convertibles with the roof closed, in the paddock 20 km/h applies, and deliberately putting a car into a slide means immediate exclusion. People from the age of 13 are allowed onto the track, minors with a guardian in the passenger seat. The damage price list says a lot about the cost of a mistake: 1.5 metres of crash barrier is 5000 zloty net, a square metre of lawn 450 zloty, an oil spill 500 zloty. The autodrome's general regulations set the noise limit at 98 dB.
In the autumn of 2026 track days for cars are planned for 4 October, 7 November and 6 December; the basic ticket costs 650 zloty, a single session with an instructor 900 zloty. Motorcyclists have six Track Day Moto dates in 2026: 24 May, 1 August and 6 September on layout A, and 4 July, 15 August and 27 September on layout B, in a format of five sessions in the morning and five in the afternoon, based on Honda's training system; a session costs 450 zloty, the whole day 850 zloty, an A2 or A category driving licence is required. The track is also in the calendar of the Time Attack Cup, an amateur timed driving cup held in 2026 over seven rounds, alongside Silesia Ring and Tor Poznań; in 2021 it hosted the fifth round of Time Attack Poland in a format of five 17 minute sessions in groups of about 10 cars.
The operator is ITS Michalczewski Sp. z o.o., registered in Radom on 3 January 2020, with capital of 6,355,000 zloty; the president of the management board is Aleksandra Michalczewska, the board also includes Adam and Maria Michalczewski as well as Hubert Liwski, and the shares belong to Aleksandra and Adam Michalczewski. The surroundings of the track have changed too. Jastrząb, which received town rights on 30 September 1427 from Władysław Jagiełło and lost them on 13 January 1870, regained the status of a town on 1 January 2023, after the referendum of the autumn of 2021 (89.96 per cent of voters in favour), under the regulation of the Council of Ministers of 25 July 2022. Czerwienica, where the autodrome stands, is today a district of a town with 1071 inhabitants according to the 2021 census.
For 25 April 2026 the operator, together with the local government of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, has planned the Mazowieckie Motorcycle Season Opening: free training in several sections, rescue demonstrations and an exhibitors' zone, under the honorary patronage of the provincial police commander in Radom. Twelve days earlier Michalczewska told the CoZaDzień.pl portal: "As of today we have more than 600 motorcyclists signed up".
